HOW TO GET OUT OF DEBT
The point is, if you haven't been seeking God, God has not been there to help you. The good news is, "it's not too late". God will probably not give an instant miracle or instant fix to anyone who haven't had time for a real relationship with him. One reason is because, it doesn't draw anyone closer to him and a person would usually end up right back in the same hole that he dug them out of, within a year. I can testify that having a personal relationship with God "works!" He can and will provide a way out for you and grant a miracle. However, you truly have to seek him from the heart. If you need a miracle - here is good advice: Seek God! - Not your pastor (your pastor can not have a personal relationship with God for you - you have to do this yourself) Seek God! - Not the approval of the other members of your Church.
(Their
approval of you means nothing to God) You can't buy a Miracle - (Learn the
correct way to give - giving out of compulsion or guilt will curse you more
than it will help) Make it Real! - (long elegant prayers, using allot of fancy holy sounding words you normally wouldn't use, do not impress God! Just talk to him, then you'll get to know him) Talk to God! - (If you believe God is always there, but only talk to him once a week or once a day - How Rude!! - Would you treat anyone else that way?) Talk to God allot - It's called having a personal relationship. WHAT IS FINANCIAL PROSPERITY? Simply put, financial prosperity is: "Doing things because you want to - not because you have too". It was never God's will that you become a slave to your creditors. It was (and still is) God's will that you have a personal relationship with him, and that he take care of all your needs. Just like Adam walked and talked with God in the garden of Eden, and wanted for nothing, God desires the same personal relationship with "you". However, the riches and pleasures of this world tend to put a wall between you and God. In this modern day and age, it is mandatory that you strive to have the one on one "personal" relationship that God wants to have with you, if you want "true" prosperity in your life. (He is still waiting) Revelation 3:20 - 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:21 - 'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ~ FALSE TEACHINGS WITHIN THE CHURCH ~ I'm sure you've heard before, that Satan does his very best work from within the Church. As I have, you have no doubt heard over and over again, from the prosperity preachers, that It is God's will that you be rich, live in a mansion and drive around in a Corvette or Lincoln Continental. You've probably also noticed that, somewhere in their message, it is pointed out that, the key to receiving all that, is that you give a portion of your money to "them" or their ministry. In that same speech you've probably also heard that the reason you are in such financial debt to begin with, is because God is punishing you, because you haven't been giving your money to "them or their ministry". There is a word for that. It's called "EXTORTION". ~ PUT YOUR MATERIAL POSSESSIONS IN PERSPECTIVE ~ If you want a financial miracle from God, and for God to make you prosper, there are a few important things you need to do to be lined up with him first. Amazingly, none of these include writing a check to your pastor. If you can't pay your mortgage payment, it is important to know that the property you are purchasing or even renting, doesn't belong to you. Neither does it belong to the mortgage company, or even some landlord. It belongs to God! That's why, if you wish for you and your offspring to reside there for generations to come, it's important to be lined up with God. He will ultimately choose who he wants to reside there. ~ THE WORRIES OF LIFE ~ It has been discovered that most people who have developed life shattering illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and many other diseases all have something else in common. You will usually find that they all suffered a catastrophe in their life at some point prior to the illness. The death of a loved one, a devastating divorce or something equally as unbearable. That is a proven fact, but did you know that the worries of life can be as equally detrimental to your spiritual well being also? Luke 21:34 - "Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; Let me point out that, of the three things Jesus warned us to be on guard against, the worries of life were equally as important as dissipation and drunkenness. He did not place one as being more important than the others. Of the six dictionary definitions for the word "dissipation", I found these two to be the most interesting. 3. a wasting by misuse: the dissipation of a fortune. 4. mental distraction; amusement; diversion. If you mortgaged a $200,000.00 home on a $50,000.00 budget, not only were you "not" on guard against the "worries of life", you invited them in! If you drove off the car lot in a $25,000.00 SUV, instead of the $9,000.00 economy car, or the $2,000.00 used car, you have "again" invited in the "worries of life". These things, drunkenness, dissipation and the worries of life, are things that can distance you from your father and creator. But not only those. Believe it or not there are things you'd never expect in your life, that will drive a wedge between you and God, and make your prayers fall on deaf ears. They are "riches" and "pleasures". Luke 8:14 - "The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. This doesn't mean that, if you are rich, God won't listen to you. It means that you've placed too much priority on these things, and God doesn't like being second banana. Matthew 6:21 - for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (also Luke 12:34) YOUR PROBLEMS ARE OBVIOUS (IF)
ARE YOUR PRAYERS REACHING GOD'S EAR? The number one cause of arguments within a marriage is "Money". Financial problems are also one of the greatest causes of divorce in the United States, if not the free world. But, did you know that arguing with your spouse can stop and prevent your prayers from being heard by God? 1 Peter 3:7 - You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. If you need a financial miracle, God "can" provide it! However, if you have been arguing with your spouse, your prayers may not even be reaching God's ear when you are asking him for help. First, reconcile with your spouse, get rid of any hateful feelings, then talk to God. Better yet, take your spouse by the hand and go talk to him together. ~ THE RICHES AND PLEASURES OF LIFE ~ Be assured, I am not condemning riches and I'm not condemning seeking pleasure, however, if you want to understand the secret to receiving financial prosperity from God, then you need to put things into perspective. Did you ever wonder why . . . . You don't talk to God, you don't pray and you don't seek a personal relationship with him until tragedy hits? (Hey! I was guilty too) It's because, riches and pleasures drive a wedge and put distance between you and God. Lets face it. When you have lots of money, a beautiful home, the perfect spouse and two fine cars in the garage, who needs God? We look at a rose planted in our yard, and instead of thinking "How awesome it is that God could create such a beautiful thing from his own mind", we simply look at it as a decoration that complements our aluminum siding and solar yard lights. 100 years ago, if the sky became dark, our great grand parents would be praying to God for protection. Today, we watch the weather channel and know for certain whether a storm, tornado or flood is going to hit. (no praying necessary) If a storm does hit, it's okay! We've had time to evacuate, and the house is insured! (who needs God?) Again: Luke 8:14 - "The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. Did the nice house, cars, clothes, trophy spouse and all the cool stuff you bought, choke the word from maturing in you? Has it kept you from communicating with God every day? What is the most important thing in your life? If you want financial prosperity from God, you need to quit worrying about keeping it and put God ahead of it. God will not settle for being second in your life, to anyone or anything. ~ THE WORD ~ The "seed" that is spoken of in Luke 8:14 is "NOT" your money! The prosperity preachers always refer to your money as being the "seed" and that you need to plant it in "their" pockets, but in truth, the seed referred to is "The Word". If you are asking God for a financial miracle, (that he "can" give to you) you first need to have a "personal relationship" with him. It is impossible to have a personal relationship with him if you have not received the "word", then let it produce fruit in your life, or the fruit is not mature. (you need to talk to him) Too many of us interpret this to mean that we go to Church once a week and listen to the preacher, then we have received the "word", but that's just a small part of it. The word is not so much "story hour", as it is also a living, breathing thing! (or person) John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:2 - He was in the beginning with God. John 1:3 - All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. John 1:4 - In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. John 1:5 - The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. If you are not talking with God one on one, then you haven't been receiving the word of God. The preacher you listen to once a week can not receive it for you. Neither can he have a personal relationship with God for you. You have to do this yourself. IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Having a personal relationship with God is as easy as having one with anyone else. You can not have a personal relationship with anyone without actually "talking to them". That's what prayer is! Talking to God! Talking to him the same as you would talk to anyone else. (leaving out the impressive and holy sounding words) Talk to him every day, and talk to him allot. Develop a real, personal relationship with him, then be amazed at how quickly he answers your prayers. Even the ones to heal your finances. Once you put God first, only then will you start seeing miracles. I know what you're thinking but, it's not too late! God still wants a personal relationship with you. God wants to help you, and God wants you to prosper, but God insists on being number one in your life first. Is it possible that God allowed you be in your current situation because you never would have called out to him otherwise? Whether you realize it or not, that's quite a blessing! If you need to get out of debt, the first question you need to ask yourself
is: "Who or what have you been seeking?" Was it power? Approval and affection of
your spouse? A better house or car than your neighbors? Recognition? Or have you
just been living by the old saying: "He who dies with the most toys, wins!"
