I was going to write a web page about the "antichrist", the "Beast of Revelations" and the "false prophet" and then I realized that I don't really know anything about the antichrist, beast of revelations or the false prophet. So I thought I'd research the net and see what others had to say on these subjects. After a while I realized that "they" don't know anything about the antichrist, beast of revelations or the false prophet either. What I did find was allot of theories and personal interpretations and allot of people getting rich preaching about what they don't really know. I write about what I know and honestly have not researched the subject to any degree. But I know a little, so I will share with you what I "do" know. Now days, the hype preachers all have us looking for the antichrist. Many say that he is in the world "now" and is just waiting his appointed time to surface. Others say that he will wear a turban and come from one of the third world Arabic countries. Others yet say he is the Pope! (or the next Pope) On the more humorous side, let's hope it is the Pope. After watching that woman tackle him the other day on TV, I think we can handle him if he's the one! ~ THE ANTICHRIST EXPLAINED ~ Many people throughout the years have been misled (usually just before the offering plate is passed) into believing that the Antichrist is, or will be, a "person". The truth is, the Anti Christ is a spirit and has already been with us for many years. The bible gives account of "many" people having this spirit, and modern day preachers have misled many into confusing the "Beast of the book of Revelation" with the Antichrist. 1 John 2:18 - Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.So according to scripture, there were "many" antichrists in the world almost two thousand years ago. The antichrist is a spirit. To elaborate, it is a movement or false belief, possibly a state of mind. An antichrist is anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ or denies the father and the son. 1 John 2:22 - Again, the scriptures are "very" clear about who and what the antichrist is. 2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.So you see, there is no single antichrist, there are many. The wacko's who put anti religious displays next to the nativity scenes in capitol buildings are the antichrist. So are the Governors who allow them to do so, all in the name of "political Correctness". Antichrist's are those who say Jesus was just a good and wise teacher. As for the President who said: "We are no longer a Christian nation", you decide. As for the false prophet, like the antichrist, there were many 2,000 to 4,000 years ago, and many more today, but I will save that and the "Beast" for another day Dan Douglass (I have spoken) Have You Donated To This Ministry?
